Live Entertainment, Grand Prizes, & Shane’s Refreshments: Sounds Like A Recipe For Success!May 10th, 2013

On Friday, May 10th, the McDonough Chamber of Commerce held it’s 6th annual Spring fundraising event, called “Belles, Bulls & Buck$” in efforts to raise funds for the Chamber and enjoy fellowship within the community. Being that our Original Shane’s Rib Shack is planted in McDonough, Shane’s was thrilled for the opportunity to help serve refreshments at this community-centered event. Along with Shane’s refreshments, guests enjoyed live entertainment, a mechanical bull ride, and chance to win a $5,000 raffle grand prize. The event was not only a success for the Chamber, but a chance for people to see that there is no better way to prepare for a mechanical bull ride than by sipping on some of Shane’s delicious sweet tea!

You Never Know Who You’ll Meet When Marketing For Our Annual Rib Giveaway!

In preparation for our 4th annual Rib Giveaway, our corporate team decided to do some of their own marketing! In the wee hours of Thursday morning, Shane’s corporate crew delivered THIRTY full racks of our mouth-watering baby back ribs to radio stations all across the metro Atlanta area. Our team and pans of ribs were asked to join in on the radio fun by receiving an inside look to the recording rooms of Rock 100.5 The Regular Guys, 680 The Fan, and Kicks 101.5. So, were the ribs a hit? Let’s just say, the radio jockeys found a way to talk live and eat our ribs all at the same time. Now, that’s talent! Talking about talent, even Grammy award-winning Neyo will pose for a Shane’s Rib Shack picture!

Recently, our Boca Raton & Royal Palm Beach locations were pleasantly surprised when they received a phone call from the popular 940 WINZ radio station. Without even knowing, a representative from the station had been one of their customers earlier in the week. The representative was so pleased with Shane’s customer service and delicious baby back ribs that he felt it was a must to have this “Shane’s Rib Shack” featured on his station so the entire community could know of this great BBQ spot! One thing led to the next, and before you knew it our owners and employees were spending airtime with the jockeys promoting the amazing Shane’s BBQ we all know and love. While there, Shane’s provided the station with plenty of fall off the bone ribs and wings to show their appreciation.

It’s a Proven Fact: The Best Sweet Tea comes from the Shack!

On April 27th, our Flowery Branch location participated in the WDUN news talk radio’s “Sweet Tea Showdown” Contest at the annual Spring Chicken Festival located in downtown Gainesville, Georgia. When the results came in, Shane’s Rib Shack stole the show winning first place for sweet tea and “Best Sweet Tea Overall”. Not to mention, our peach tea won third place in a sweet tea competition! Congratulations again to our Flowery Branch location for spreading the sweetness of our delicious tea to the Hall county community!

Our Original Shack Gives Back At Relay For Life

For the seventh year in a row, our original Shane’s Rib Shack has been honored to be a part of Relay for Life. Relay for Life is an organized overnight community fundraising walk that raises money for cancer research. It is an event designed to celebrate cancer survivors and commemorate those who were lost. On April 26th, The Original Shane’s Rib Shack had the privilege of serving approximately 800 survivors and their families at a special, “survivor dinner”. While serving, our Original’s employees had the opportunity to speak with survivors, share memories of lost loved ones, and find hope by joining arms with the community in effort to raise funds for this deserving cause.

COVINGTON SHACK CELEBRATES IT’S “RE-GRAND OPENING”

On Saturday, April 20th, our Covington location celebrated it's "Re-Grand Opening"! At the start of the day, we were able to honor the first 25 guests by presenting them with the ultimate VIP card: free "Big Dad" sandwiches for the entire year. In addition, the first 100 guests received a free "Big Dad" when they walked in the door! Family and friends in the Covington community enjoyed face-painting, balloon sculpting, cotton candy, trivia, and a spin at our prize wheel with tons of giveaways! Throughout the day, guests had the opportunity to enter in a Pace Car raffle for their chance to win a free Pace Car ride around the Atlanta Motor Speedway race track! Not to mention, we had the Chevrolet Camaro Pace Car on site for guests to get a peek at what they could be riding in if they won!
The day was a huge success and an enjoyable time for the Covington community. Congratulations to our Covington Shack for coming back bigger and better!

EVANS, GA ROCKS IT AT “ROCK FORE! DOUGH”April 22nd, 2013

On April 9th, our Evans, GA location played their part at the annual "Rock Fore! Dough" benefit concert. "Rock Fore! Dough" takes place during the first week of the Masters Golf Tournament, averaging close to 8,000 attendees. The event focuses on celebrating golf and music to help raise funds for The First Tee of Augusta youth programs. Music artists such as NeedToBreathe and Grace Potter were just a few of the performers who took the stage this past year. This is Evans's 5th year participating in for "Rock Fore! Dough", donating Shane’s BBQ to approximately 600 people each year!
