Although the Carrolton location in metro Atlanta was closed Monday due to the storm, owner John McDonald and his daughter LeErin McDonald contacted a police officer friend of hers to see if fire, police, Georgia Power and county employees needed food.
The McDonalds served 25 firefighters, 20 police officers and 20 Georgia Power employees pork sandwiches, Brunswick stew, baked beans and a special request for peach cobbler, said Ellen Bookman, spokeswoman for the company.
The McDonalds opened the restaurant Tuesday for the same purpose, she said
